About N.A.T.I.V.E.
N.A.T.I.V.E. is an acronym for Northeast Arizona Technological Institute of Vocational Education. It is a Joint Technological Education District (JTED) in Arizona working in partnership with eight area high schools: Chinle High School, Ganado High School, Pinon High School, Monument Valley High School, Red Mesa High School, Tuba City High School, Valley High School, and Window Rock High School. The N.A.T.I.V.E. District partners with sites to provide Career Technical Education (CTE) for their students. Students in these eight area high schools can begin preparing for high-wage, high-demand occupations while in high school by enrolling in N.A.T.I.V.E. CTE classes.
In the future, 65 percent of all jobs will require technical skills that demand specialized training. Most require education beyond high school. N.A.T.I.V.E. is constantly upgrading its Career Technical Education training programs to provide the skills necessary for high paying careers.
From Culinary Arts to Welding, N.A.T.I.V.E. offers Career Technical Education (CTE) programs at the local high school. CTE prepares students to enter the workforce immediately after graduation or to pursue further education at a community college or university. Although N.A.T.I.V.E. schools are located too far apart to be able to transport students to a central site, centralized classes are offered utilizing distance learning technologies.
Today’s high-tech workplace demands well-trained workers. At N.A.T.I.V.E., you will find the career training you need to reach your career goals.
